Join a global energy company on a contract until mid-2023; ensuring that business processes are supported and enabled via the use of the S/4 HANA solution and any other associated ERP tools, utilising best-practice and standard functionality wherever possible.

     

The ERP Workstream Team Member should support with the functional activities required in the project lifecycle, e.g. design, testing, data migration, training and support. They should work collaboratively with the business and other cross functional areas to reduce complexity, improve efficiency and enhance future business performance.

      

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Participating in design workshops to gain a full understanding of the S/4 HANA solution and be responsible for informing, following and agreeing resolution of issues within the functional area.
  • Supporting the business through the implementation lifecycle, offering subject matter expertise throughout the various stages of the implementation.
  • Liaising with HQ, IBM and any other third-party providers to understand the gaps/localisations required for the business and ensuring any functional and integration issues are addressed.
  • Liaising with the business functions to ensure that adopted processes are fit for purpose.
  • Supporting data migration preparation activities within the workstream - assisting in determining the appropriate strategy, treatment of historical data, data cleansing, data mapping, etc.
  • Assisting with the data migration dry run and cutover activities.
  • Responsible for the review of business processes and identifying documentation and training materials that require to be updated.
  • Liaising with and supporting the change management team to ensure a smooth transition to S/4 HANA; acting as a change agent/leader to champion the introduction of new functionality and processes.
  • Responsible for ensuring the opportunity and risk registers are kept up to date and appropriate mitigations are in place.
  • Assisting the project management team and escalating functional/integration issues where necessary.
  • Assisting in User Acceptance Testing; ensuring the system is adequately tested and owning the punch-list (defect) register within your functional area.
  • Responsible for identifying interfaces with other solutions/satellite systems - assisting in the assessment of implications and working with HQ and local stakeholders to resolve any issues.
  • Reviewing and redefining SAP roles and authorisations; ensuring the roles are fit-for-purpose supporting segregation of duties, compliance and risk mitigation.

      

Applicants to this position should have the following:

  • Extensive experience in the Upstream Oil & Gas Industry (or similar industry)
  • Experience in leading a multi-disciplined team in a project environment.
  • Experience as Lead User / Business Process Expert / SME in the relevant functional domain.
  • Experience of the Supply Chain modules within SAP - Materials Management (MM), Remote Logistics Management (RLM), Inventory Management (IM).
  • Experience of SAP 4 Hana preferred but previous experience of working within a SAP ERP project environment would be essential.
  • Excellent communication skills.
