Buyer - VR/28321
An opportunity to join a reputable global provider within the oil and gas industry as a Buyer. This is a full-time, permanent role, with hybrid working available (up to 2 days at home).
In this role, you will report to the Supply Chain Manager and be responsible for the procurement of a varied product range of goods and services.
Duties and Responsibilities include:
- Negotiating and sourcing procurement of goods and services and stock items.
- Analysing quotes to meet specific project requirements.
- Raising Purchase Orders (POs) to align with the business’s procedures and processes.
- Expediting POs to ensure on-time delivery and delivery dates are updated in the ERP system.
- Processing supplier non-conformances.
- Dealing with supplier invoice queries, corresponding with the Finance Department.
- Forecasting stock levels for general consumables and standard job-related items.
- Creating and maintaining regular reports in accordance with the departments KPIs.
Our client is seeking a candidate with the following skills, experience, and knowledge:
- Experience in procurement roles within the energy sector.
- Good knowledge of procurement procedures and processes.
- Experience of supplier negotiation.
- Ability to use own initiative, prioritise workload and perform in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to use Microsoft Office and ERP/MRP systems.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience of supplier evaluation and/or auditing (not essential).
- Understanding of engineering drawings/specifications and technical knowledge (not essential).
- CIPS qualification (not essential).
