Join a leading global energy firm for a 12-month contract as a Category Management & Strategic Sourcing Advisor. This role involves developing and executing category strategies for Exploration and Offshore services within the dynamic Supply Chain Management Team.

     

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing and implementing innovative category strategies for Exploration/Offshore services, integrating market analysis and cost optimisation techniques.
  • Leading cross-functional teams in complex sourcing projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives and stakeholder expectations.
  • Managing end-to-end procurement processes, including supplier selection, contract negotiations, and performance evaluations.
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives in sourcing practices, leveraging data analytics and industry best practices.
  • Monitoring and assessing supplier performance against KPIs, fostering collaborative relationships and driving accountability.
  • Ensuring compliance with procurement policies, regulatory requirements, and ethical standards.
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders to forecast demand, manage inventory levels, and support operational efficiency.
  • Developing and implementing procurement strategies that enhance operational resilience and mitigate supply chain risks.
  • Providing strategic insights and recommendations based on market intelligence and industry trends to optimise procurement outcomes.

     

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in a similar role within the energy sector, preferably in an Operator/E&P company.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing sourcing projects and negotiations.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in using data-driven insights to inform decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Knowledge of procurement policies, regulations, and best practices.
  • Experience with procurement systems and tools (e.g., SAP Ariba) preferred.
