To ensure the efficient and effective running of CNC machines, ensuring delivery of a first-class service to our client’s requirements, maintaining the highest quality and the lowest cost solution. This position will work in a team and be part of the efficient and effective running of the clients manufacturing centre. On-time delivery is critical, therefore planning and timekeeping are essential elements to this role.

The CNC Machinist must have a sound machining background, confident in programming both CNC mills and lathes to a high level, working with extremely tight tolerances and have a “right first time” work ethic. The incumbent must be extremely hand’s on within the machining cell, operating the machines, trouble-shoot when required and ensure internal and client deadlines are met.

Applicants to this role require

• 10+ year’s proven experience as a CNC Machinist, 3 / 4 axis lathes and mills preferable.

• Experienced in reading and writing programs in ISO (G-code) and using conversational software.
• Tool selection and planning experience.
• Excellent mechanical aptitude.
• Drafting skills would be an advantage.
• High level inspection skills using measuring equipment, CMM experience will be an advantage.
