Commercial Manager (Aviation Services) - VR/29748
This organisation, with a track record spanning more than 40 years, provides a range of services to the global energy industry. The business seeks a Commercial Manager for its Aviation division, which delivers comprehensive end-to-end solutions for offshore aviation operations.
As Commercial Manager, you’ll play a strategic role in the organisation to ensure that the company’s Commercial, Sales and Marketing Policies and activities are developed and implemented to meet targets for business growth, retention, and profitability.
You’ll also be responsible for the ongoing development of the Commercial team, focused on delivery of Account Growth Plans and Business Development, in line with annual financial targets.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Developing and implementing a commercial strategy that grows the company’s market share in the Aviation Services segment.
- Creating strong relationships with key customers, target accounts and relevant associated businesses.
- Effectively managing Account Managers to ensure retention of market share and delivery of targeted growth through existing/new account strategic development.
- Managing the Commercial Team to ensure effective management of enquires and collection/delivery of equipment.
- Working with Business Development Managers to develop a list of target accounts and implementing agreed sales plan to increase market share.
- Managing new product development programmes and associated marketing, launch and sales activities.
- Responsibility for CRM deployment and use.
- Developing and deploying suitable measurement and reporting tools using CRM to assess local Sales Team performance.
- Ownership of the net promoter score tool.
- Engaging with all customers to ensure appropriate use of the tool and that maximum benefit is being derived.
- Ownership of market share data and information and used appropriately during the strategic planning.
- Ownership of competitor activity and direction and information used appropriately during the strategic planning.
- Responsibility for all marketing activity including – website, social media, direct marketing, PR and events.
- Working closely with Operations Management to plan future requirements.
- Ensuring all strategic accounts have account plans in place and that appropriate individual opportunities are managed.
- Developing and delivering annual revenue budget as well as quarterly forecast adjustments as required.
- Ownership of contractual reviews and pricing development.
- Delivering required commercial reporting for global strategic accounts.
- Working with the Finance Team to ensure customer debt is minimised and a debt recovery plan is in place where required.
Applicants to this opportunity should have previous experience in a similar Commercial Management/Business Development role. Industry sector experience is preferred, though not essential.
This is a full-time position, based at the company’s office in Aberdeen. A hybrid working arrangement is available.
