The Communications Manager role provides the opportunity to develop the communications strategy and oversees all media and content delivery in line with the organisational operating plans and strategic aims. This varied role will be full-time, permanent and based in Aberdeen City Centre. Candidates should have x5 years’ experience in a similar practical role, with third sector and/or education sector experience being preferred. Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Developing the communications strategy for the business.
  • Line management responsibilities for x1 individual.
  • Developing and managing content campaigns across multiple digital channels.
  • Writing copy for all marketing materials.
  • Developing content for grant recipients.
  • Managing press conferences, interviews and project events.
  • PR support.
  • Contributing to strategy development and planning.

        

Essential skills, knowledge & experience include:

  • At least 5 years’ communications experience from a practical environment.
  • Excellent written communication skills.
  • Complete compelling copy and tailor to multiple communication channels and audiences.
  • Develop multi-channel digital content.
  • Strong organisation and planning skills.
  • Develop and deliver strategic communications and marketing plans.
  • Strong IT skills.
  • Understanding and knowledge of third sector and / or Scottish education sectors would be beneficial.
