As Contracts Specialist, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring effective management and administration of contracts throughout their lifecycle. You’ll be responsible for reviewing, negotiating, and drafting contracts, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, and providing guidance and support to project teams and stakeholders.

                

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Managing client relationships, both existing and potential, including engaging with clients to understand their needs, presenting contract proposals, and negotiating terms and conditions.
  • Preparing contract costing and pricing proposals, and negotiating these with clients.
  • Facilitating contract start-up and agreement processes, ensuring that you engage and collaborate with relevant stakeholders to ensure successful onboarding and timely execution of contracts.
  • Continuously assessing client satisfaction, addressing any concerns or issues, and proactively identifying opportunities for contract amendments or improvements to meet evolving client requirements.
  • Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to negotiate terms and conditions, including pricing, manning levels and payment terms.
  • Conducting risk assessments and identifying potential contractual risks, providing recommendations for risk mitigation strategies and developing contingency plans.
  • Ensuring compliance with contract terms and conditions, monitoring contract performance, tracking deliverables, and managing contract amendments, extensions, and terminations.
  • Staying updated on relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, ensuring contracts are in compliance with applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintaining accurate contract records and documentation, preparing reports, and providing regular updates on contract status, milestones, and potential issues.
  • Assisting in the resolution of any contract disputes to achieve timely and satisfactory resolutions.
  • Identifying opportunities for process improvement within contracts management, contributing to the development and implementation of best practices and standard operating procedures.

              

Our client is seeking a candidate with the following skills, experience, and knowledge:

  • Proven experience as a Contracts Specialist or similar role.
  • In-depth knowledge of contract law, contract types, and commercial terms and conditions.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with project management principles and practices.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
