As Contracts Engineer, you’ll be responsible for managing and administering all project and operational contract activities in the contracting lifecycle in a timely, quality focused and budget driven way whilst ensuring commercially successful outcomes for the business.

       

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing and executing the tendering process, including compilation of invitations to tender (ITT) package, bid clarification meetings, bid evaluations, negotiations, and completion of all subcontracts of a project or subcontracts of floating production assets.
  • Ensuring flow-down of client contract terms and conditions and negotiate best terms and conditions per subcontract and collaborate with Legal, Insurance or Tax departments.
  • Organising and presenting subcontractor selections in Tender Board meetings and initiate and perform pre/post contract award reviews and subcontract close-outs.
  • Creating contractual commitments and verifying invoices in respective systems related to subcontracts and frame agreements.
  • Ensure subcontractors fulfil their contractual obligations and monitor key performance indicators.
  • Organising, leading or attending contract management or progress/performance review meetings with subcontractors/ suppliers, and write minutes or reports.
  • Maintaining relationships with subcontractors and suppliers of a project or assets. Acting as the sole focal point for key agreements, where required.
  • Identifying, issuing and developing subcontract variations and amendments.
  • Supporting Project or Asset Management in dispute prevention, resolution and claim handling.
  • Undertaking the timely and accurate administration and archiving of subcontracts and frame agreements, including contractual correspondence and maintenance of files.
  • Supporting the contract owner in contractual matters towards clients, authorities and external parties.

         

Our client is seeking a candidate with the following experience, skills and qualifications:

  • Experience within a similar role in the offshore oil and gas/energy sector.
  • Good working knowledge of subcontracting and commercial processes from tendering, con-tract negotiations, to close out.
  • Experience in supplier performance management, NCRs.
  • Experience in Maximo (desirable).
  • Bachelor’s degree in business management or legal discipline (desirable).
