This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and make a real impact on performance and value delivery across supply chain management. This is a 12-month contract vacancy to cover maternity leave, with potential to become permanent dependent on business growth.

     

Key Responsibilities

  • Developing strategies for abandonment programmes in collaboration with key stakeholders.
  • Managing contract plans and overseeing tendering, evaluation, and negotiation processes for well abandonment and support services contracts.
  • Preparing Invitation to Tender (ITT) packages and conducting comprehensive evaluations, including risk assessments.
  • Leading contract negotiations to mitigate risks and optimise commercial outcomes.
  • Ensuring effective contractor management throughout project life cycles to meet performance targets.
  • Supporting contractor performance management through KPI monitoring, feedback sessions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Identifying cost-saving opportunities and improving service delivery through strategic contract management.
  • Preparing and administering contract documents, including amendments and variation orders.
  • Providing guidance on procurement and supply chain matters and assisting with contract dispute resolution.
  • Collaborate with teams to ensure financial clarity and secure necessary resources for successful project execution.

     

Ideal Candidate

  • Proven track record in oil and gas contract management, delivering value through supply chain optimisation.
  • Strong negotiation and project management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and nurture collaborative relationships.
  • Commercially astute and able to identify opportunities for cost reduction and value creation.
  • Knowledge of well abandonment requirements is advantageous.
  • Experience from both operator and service company perspectives is beneficial.
