Imports/Exports Coordinator required to manage Customs Compliance for import/export operations for the UK and monitor legislative changes.
- Responsible for the applications and control of all dual use licences for the UK in regards to controlled equipment and product. Licences include Dual Use licences. US Re-Export Licences, Explosive licences, Radioactive permits.
- Experienced in the BIS SPIRE license application system for Dual Use Licences.
- Maintain and check all Dual Use documentation and folders.
- Investigate and develop processes in regards to compliance for all remote projects in the market as they develop, working closely with the segments to ensure all equipment is captured on the licence application and signed off.
- Weekly visits to the segments to advise on customs compliance procedures and provide training as identified and required.
- Taking the lead in preparing for and participating in customs audits.
- Conduct periodic internal reviews or audits to ensure that compliance procedures are followed - Dual Use, SWEU, DHU, Supplementary Declarations, Scrap, Customs Regimes.
- Identify any compliance issues that require follow-up or investigation.
- Disseminate written policies and procedures related to compliance activities.
- Prepare management reports regarding compliance operations and progress.
- Design or implement improvements in communication, monitoring, or enforcement of compliance standards.
- Verify that all firm and regulatory policies and procedures have been documented, implemented and communicated.
- Excellent understanding of EU and UK Customs Regulations.
- Examine invoices and shipping documents for conformity to tariff and customs regulations.
