• Reporting to the IT Manager and working closely with senior leadership, this role shapes and delivers the organisation’s data strategy.

Main duties and responsibilities

• Utilising digital, data, and AI tools to enhance business performance.
• Promoting data literacy and adoption of digital solutions.
• Defining and maintaining data architecture for governance and analytics.
• Developing and evaluating solutions that deliver measurable business value.
• Championing effective data management to maximise value and justify resource costs.
• Collaborating with IT to balance continuity and innovation.

• Data-driven decisions improving business results.
• Efficient delivery of functional solutions.
• Adoption of advanced analytics tools (ML/AI) for automation and value.

Desirable Skills & Experience

• Strong understanding of business processes and service delivery.
• Proven experience in data management, governance, and analytics deployment.
• Agile delivery of data/digital products to diverse stakeholders.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Industry experience in engineering or complex operational environments.
• Knowledge of machine learning and AI applications – desirable but not required.
