Duties and Responsibilities:

• Managing daily accounting operations for the project while providing essential support to the Project Finance Team.
• Collaborating with the Project Financial Controller to maintain rolling financial forecasts.
• Preparing and reviewing financial reports to ensure alignment with both group and project requirements.
• Upholding robust financial controls within the project.
• Taking the lead in the month-end close process, ensuring accuracy.
• Driving in-depth balance sheet analysis and addressing any issues.
• Ensuring that contract revenue is recognised in accordance with FRS 102 and contract terms.
• Contributing to the weekly cash forecast.
• Supporting process improvements and providing assistance as required to meet external audit requirements.
• Serving as the finance point of contact for in-country tax requirements.
• Monitoring shadow payroll processing and compliance.
• Assisting the Project Financial Controller in forecasting, budgeting, and year-end processes.

Experience and skills required:

• A degree-level qualification or equivalent.
• ACCA/CIMA/CA qualification.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Excel.
• Experience with accounting software, preferably Navision (Microsoft Dynamics NAV).
• A minimum of 3 years in a similar role, preferably within a project-driven environment.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
