Currently recruiting for an experienced Electrical Project Engineer on a permanent staff basis for an oil and gas service company based in Forfar, Angus.

     

Working as part of the Engineering Team, the Electrical Project Engineer will be tasked with supporting Sales and Rental tenders. 

     

The Electrical Project Engineer will have the following main duties and responsibilities:

     

  • Providing quality and effective project management support.
  • Providing technical support for sales and rental tenders.
  • Engineering design including preparing and checking calculations and reports.
  • Drawing checking and approval.
  • Identifying all parts and resources required for project completion.
  • Processing job documentation, including timesheets on a timely basis, and ensure prompt and satisfactory job closure.
  • Preparing estimates and monitoring costs to achieve required margins.
  • Liaising and communicating with other company facilities and departments.
  • Performing other engineering and project duties.

      

Experience / Qualifications:

     

  • An HND or Degree qualification in a relevant Electrical Engineering discipline is essential.
  • Previous experience in a similar Electrical Project Engineer type role is essential.
  • Applicants will be expected to hold experience in the Oil and Gas, Renewables or Heavy Engineering sectors.
  • Project management and planning experience is essential.
  • Applicants will be expected to have experience with PLCs (Siemens or Allen Bradley systems).
  • Applicants will be expected to have experience with variable frequency drives (Siemens and ABB).
  • Applicants will be expected to have experience with BOP control systems.
