We are looking to recruit a Fabrication Technician for our client on an initial 6 month contract with the view to go on long term. Experience using an angle hand held grinder and semi-automatic abrasive belt grinder required.
Main duties and responsibilities
- Grinding girth welds and seams on tubulars using semi-automatic grinding machines or use in hand held 7 inch and 4 ½ inch angle grinders.
- Drifting, fitting O rings, fitting protectors and cleaning out pipe bores.
- Reading and understanding router instructions for painting and stencilling requirements.
- Housekeeping in immediate work area and shop in general.
- Steam cleaning.
