Our client, an expanding energy service company are looking to add to their team with a Finance Manager. This is a pivotal role within the organisation heading up finance for the UK/Europe region. This is an opportunity for a positive minded individual who has experience of managing a finance function.


Overview job description

The Finance Manager is the focal point for communication with all Group Finance functions, Group Tax and Group Legal.  You will have broad exposure to every part of the business heading up Finance for the region. 


Reporting to the Group CFO, you will predominately be responsible for maintaining and enhancing finance systems and procedures, along with ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.


Main duties and responsibilities

  • Managing finance responsibilities operational offices.
  • Managing budget responsibilities across region and submit to HQ.
  • Ensuring regional management of DSO, ensuring follow up and targets are met.
  • Reconciling all balance sheet accounts.
  • Meeting group financial timeline.
  • Compliance with group timetable, group financial guidelines and other group reporting requirements.
  • Compliance with statutory reporting including VAT and tax etc. with assistance from external advisor and group finance. Ensuring country-specific tax requirements are managed.
  • Year-end reporting and audit process.
  • Overseeing daily cash requirements, working with Managers to optimise budget allocation and strategy.
  • Ad-hoc tasks and projects.
