Our client is looking for a Maintenance Superintendent to provide onshore coordination and support of company maintenance activities on the FPSOs.

Result Areas:

  • Developing, implementing, documenting, maintaining and improving the agreed Asset maintenance strategies for specific assigned FPSO.
  • Prioritising work for assigned Maintenance Engineers.
  • Co-coordinating Maintenance Plan and look ahead to meet Asset objectives as directed by Asset Manager.
  • Initiating and reviewing (proposed) PM amendments and implementing them to improve the specific maintenance plans and maintenance strategies.
  • Actively monitoring, reporting monthly as required, the status and quality of the maintenance activities (to be) executed on-board, and the reporting through MAXIMO, vendor and other maintenance reports with the aim to ensure continuous improvement regarding the effectiveness of maintenance.
  • Ensuring compliance with local legislation and industry best practice by actively monitoring changes and trends. Advising Asset Manager of risks and opportunities associated with compliance and implementing agreed solutions.
  • Initiating cost-effective modifications necessary to increase system availability and/or reduce failures/downtime, and reviewing all RMs on technical, execution and budgetary details.
  • Creating and reviewing planned maintenance amendments for offshore equipment for core maintenance teams including: work-scope, resources, materials, tools, drawings and documentation.
  • Liaising with Planning personnel and the Offshore Management Team regarding the installation look ahead planning (short and long term). Ensuring, where appropriate, work packs and materials are delivered offshore in a timely manner in line with planning requirements.

General Responsibilities:

  • Setting up and maintaining clear lines of communication with all maintenance functions involved, also by active participation in the morning calls and regular visits to the offshore installation for this purpose.
  • Executing FMECA and RCM studies.
  • Developing and assuring continuous improvement through reporting evaluation and review.
  • Reviewing and analysing maintenance records in CMMS and making recommendations for improvement.
  • Assisting the managing of the CMMS performance and improvement programs.
  • Delivering and analysing reports concerning the status of maintenance.
  • Reviewing failures and downtime, and providing advice to improve asset maintainability and operability.
  • Reviewing vendor reports and advising on trends, follow-up work and improvements.
  • Providing input/advice on maintenance contracts.
  • Working in accordance with agreed performance standards/targets/goals.
  • Actively contributing towards continuous improvement initiatives.

Education & Experience Required:

  • BSC or HND/HNC in Maintenance based subject or equivalent.
  • HND Engineering of Class 1 Marine Certificate of Competency.
  • Oil & Gas UK Medical Certificate.
  • Combined Survival/Fire-fighting/HUET.
  • Minimum Industry Safety Training (MIST).
  • Extensive experience in running a multidiscipline maintenance support team in oil and gas (onshore and offshore) industry.
  • Experience in a maintenance supervisory role on an offshore installation. ckeith@thorpemolloy.com HPIND
