General Ledger Accountant - VR/30692
Two General Ledger Accountants required at a global energy service provider: one permanent, one 12-month maternity cover. Responsibilities include managing accounting activities, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance. Candidates need a finance degree, experience, and Excel skills. This role entails :
- Overall responsibility for the accounting and reporting activities of one or more entities within the FSSC scope.
- Collaborating with Business and Financial Control Teams to ensure accurate ledger postings and adherence to month-end deadlines.
- Managing the General Ledger.
- Preparing monthly balance sheet reconciliations and driving the month-end close process.
- Preparing financial reports for internal and external stakeholders, maintaining the fixed assets register, reconciling intercompany balances, and adhering to established process and control models.
- Candidates should hold a degree in Finance or Accounting (or equivalent) and have relevant experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and pivot tables, is essential.
- The ideal candidate will be analytical, organiSed, detail-oriented, able to manage multiple tasks, and knowledgeable in IFRS and local GAAP standards.
