HR Administrator (HR Shared Services) - VR/27775
Join a leading E&P company on a long-term contract basis as HR Administrator. You will be responsible for providing comprehensive HR administration and transactional support to a wide variety of HR activities within an HR Shared Services environment. Ideal applicants will have prior experience in similar HR support roles, ideally with strong exposure to HRIS coordination.
Overview
Working closely with the wider HR Department, primary areas of responsibility include providing administrative support through the employment life cycle, involving the processing of employee status changes, absence management, employee termination activities, responding to employee and manager queries and ad hoc HR reporting, whilst ensuring the HR Team delivers a professional, accurate, timely, efficient and effective service to the business.
At times you may also support special projects within the HR organisation and collaborate with internal personnel to improve processes, implement changes to HR processes or programs in order to maximise efficiency.
Main duties and responsibilities
Technical
- Providing a high standard of customer service to HR colleagues, managers, employees and external candidates.
- Acting as HRIS ‘super admin’ - initiating and overseeing all transactions; including manager and new starter HRIS training; regular system update testing, performance improvement testing and updates of associated documentation.
- Initiating purchase requisitions and service entries for invoices as required, directly liaising with the suppliers or Accounts Payable.
- Providing Super User support for the company’s onboarding system and managing the onboarding for all employee and contractor personnel.
- Liaising with People Leaders on vacant positions.
- Managing and recording all absence scenarios for the UK business, ensuring active engagement with Occupational Health and Payroll where applicable.
- Researching, analysing, and presenting various sets of data as assigned on ad-hoc basis ranging from salary information, absence data, headcount data, demographic statistics for the HR Team.
- Monitoring the UK HR inbox and actioning/distributing appropriately.
- Administration relating to the employee life cycle activities such as preparation of confidential letters, employee record electronic filing, management of HR Shared Services Livelink area and management of service awards.
- Being able to work independently with limited guidance to solve problems and make judgments and decisions on how to resolve situations.
- Collaborating with internal personnel to improve processes, implement changes to HR processes or programs in order to maximise efficiency.
- Performing other duties and additional tasks in support of ad-hoc projects as required.

Applicants to this role require
- Degree level qualification in relevant subject, or applicable experience in similar role.
- CIPD accreditation would be an advantage.
- Experience of the full HR life cycle – with a can-do attitude not afraid to roll your sleeves up to any task.
- The confidence and capability to influence others.
- An ability and desire to deliver results.
- Prior experience in an HR Support/HR Shared Services role.
- Proficient in data analytics and HR reporting.
- Competent user of Microsoft Excel, an HRIS system (ideally Workday).
- Highly accurate, with good attention to detail and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Able to work in a professional and highly confidential environment.
- Demonstrated ability in always providing outstanding service to all levels of internal and external customers.
- Able to multi-task and handle multiple changing priorities while also assisting others with answers and solutions.
- Must have the aptitude for continuously learning, evaluating, and using technology to increase the quality and efficiency of the HR process.
- Must be able to work well with tight deadlines and be a team player others can count on to support the goals of the team.
Additional information
- Your initial contract duration will be until the end of 2024, with the potential of renewal thereafter.
- The role will be office-based Monday to Thursday, with the option of working from home on Fridays.
- After a qualifying period, you will be able opt-in to a 9-day fortnight working pattern, meaning a day-off every second Friday if you compress your working hours into the remaining 9 days.
