Opportunity for an experienced HR Advisor to join a high-performing team in Aberdeen. Arising due to the departure of a long-serving postholder, this permanent vacancy is best suited to a client-facing Generalist with experience supporting offshore/unionised workforces.

Main duties and responsibilities

  • Cultivating a collaborative and proactive HR approach, fostering robust relationships with senior business leaders to support ongoing and future business needs.
  • Ensuring HR's integral role in achieving business objectives through consistent communication and credibility building.
  • Supporting line management development to effectively manage their teams.
  • Providing a dedicated HR service that blends commercial acumen, customer focus, and operational efficiency to support high-profile clients.
  • Collaborating with business leaders and managers to offer guidance on HR matters, always prioritising compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Spearheading transformative change projects, advising on people-related risks, and ensuring compliance with legislation.
  • Driving adoption and integration of key initiatives across the organisation.
  • Resolving complex employee relations issues while upholding company values and standards.
  • Overseeing the entire employee lifecycle, encompassing talent acquisition, compensation, performance management, talent development, succession planning, retention.
  • Assisting client groups in executing annual organisation-wide activities such as performance reviews, employee surveys, and talent management initiatives.
  • Leading redeployment initiatives while ensuring adherence to company guidelines, relevant legislation, and fostering company values and behaviours.
  • Supporting due diligence, bidding, tendering, transition, and TUPE processes, emphasising effective communication and compliance.
  • Promoting diversity and inclusion through behavioural focus, ensuring equal opportunity, fairness, and valuing the diversity of employees and customers.

         

Applicants to this role require

  • Associate CIPD membership, or equivalent HR qualification/degree.
  • Demonstrable HR Advisor-level experience; leading employee relations casework, and utilising UK employment legislation knowledge.
  • Experience supporting offshore/unionised workforces.
  • Strong communication, organisation and influencing skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • A proactive, commercially astute mindset.

  • Hybrid working, with up to two days per week WFH available.
  • Flexible start/finish times, and onsite parking.
