Overview job description

Reporting directly to the ICT Support Manager. It is the responsibility of the ICT Support Specialist to ensure that the business is provided with an extremely high level of IT support and project management services. To maintain high levels of safety, availability, and reliability for IT services, by ensuring the effective and accurate provision of a diverse range of IT duties, in order to support the business as a whole in achieving IT goals and objectives.

    

Main duties and responsibilities:

You will be responsible for providing both end user and overall technical support to users based at HQ and operational sites. This will primarily be through email, phone, using remote management tools or in person.  This role will include travel to sites on an “as needed” basis.

Just some of your key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • 1st and 2nd line IT support.
  • Preparing and installing hardware/software.
  • Physical hardware rollouts and upgrades.
  • Asset management.
  • Undertaking an active role in supporting IT projects and strategic activities, led by the Service Delivery Team.
  • Telecoms Support – Mitel IP, voice recording and mobile phones.
  • Supporting and managing tools such as (but not limited to):
    • Office 365;
    • Active Directory;
    • Ivanti (Service Desk Software and Central Management Console);
    • CMMS;
    • Finance;
    • AutoCAD and other design suite applications;
    • Meraki Portal;
    • Group Policy.
  • Managing multi-vendor printing estate.
  • Procuring IT equipment/licenses/systems.
  • Maintaining and testing
  • Training/inductions of staff on new systems and hardware.

   

Applicants to this role require:

  • Previous helpdesk experience.
  • Experience in installation, upgrading and general support of a wide range of software applications.
  • Experience in building, installation and upgrading hardware.
  • Experience in extensive asset management.
