We are supporting our client to find an IT Support Specialist ideally based in Peterhead although somebody that is willing to commute to Peterhead from Aberdeen 2-3 days per week will also be considered. The successful candidate will be responsible for 1st - 2nd Line Support, Hardware and Software Maintenance, Asset Management, Networks and Telecoms.

The IT Support Specialist will ensure that the business is provided with an extremely high level of IT support & project management services.

You will manage, support, and develop the IT helpdesk, policies, reports, procedures, satisfying both business and customer needs.

     

Responsible for providing both end user and overall technical support to IT users based at HQ and operational sites. To do this by email, phone, using remote management tools or in person.  This role will include travel to sites on an “as needed” basis.

        

Ensure comprehensive asset management is undertaken at all sites of responsibility.

       

Supporting other members of the IT Department and site specific teams, in maintaining high levels of safety, availability and reliability for IT hardware and software.

             

Main duties and responsibilities

  • 1st - 2nd line IT support.
  • Hardware and software installations.
  • Hardware rollouts and upgrades.
  • Asset management
  • Supporting several IT projects and strategic activities
  • Telecoms Support – Mitel IP, voice recording and mobile phones.
  • Active Directory, Ivanti, CMMS, Office 365

       

Desirable Skills & Experience

  • Degree qualified in a relevant IT subject.
  • Previous IT Support experience.
  • Experience in installation, upgrading and general support of a wide range of software applications.
  • Experience in building, installation and upgrading of hardware.
  • Experience with Network support, installation, and maintenance.
  • Microsoft OS.
  • MS 365.
  • Valid UK Drivers Licence.
