TMM Recruitment is working with a major, multi-national energy organisation based in Westhill to bring in a KPI & Performance Analyst to join their team on a contract basis until November 2024. If you have experience building and publishing reports in Power BI, are confident interpreting and presenting data and have an interest in continual business improvement, this is the position for you!

    

Overview

         

This is a customer facing role that requires collaboration with various stakeholders within the Asset and wider business including the Executive Leadership Team (“ELT”).  The postholder is responsible for presenting KPIs to drive performance within the asset and will co-ordination activities in support of the CNS Asset Performance & Growth (“PFG”) function including regular reporting with external partners.

           

This position will assist in establishing and proactive monitoring of KPIs and level of service for the Asset, providing a preliminary analysis and initial sense check of the data collated.  Assisting in preparation and progress reporting both internally and externally as required, discussing across the Assets possible improvements to increase Asset performance. In addition, co-ordination and analysis support to be provided to the wider CNS PFG team as required and further detailed within the activities section for this job description.

           

Main duties and responsibilities

     

Key Asset PowerBI Contributor

Acting as the Power BI ‘Contributor User’ within the Performance & Growth Team, managing and creating automated reports to help the asset understand its performance.  This includes:

  • Having the skills necessary to build and publish Power BI reports to the online service and share with relevant users.  Stretch target of achieving Microsoft’s Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) certification in BI Reporting.
  • Analysing, interpreting and acting upon Power BI data for the benefit of the asset.
  • Acting as a key interface with the central Data Analytics team to improve the data quality and reports generated by the Central Team.
  • Providing a service to other Asset Departments, designing, and building the reports they need to understand and improve their performance.
  • Working with the Data Analytics Team to validate and automate new Asset reports and where relevant share with other Assets.

           

Performance Improvement

  • Acting as a focal point for the asset for the business’ Synergi tool and provide support to stakeholders to ensure closure of cases within the required deadlines. Playing a key role in the Asset Synergy governance meetings to communicate status and action steps required.
  • Acting as a focal point for the CNS Asset Risk Register – communicating with colleagues to assist case updates and closures.
  • Proactively seeking and proposing improvement ideas and initiatives by utilising tools available (e.g. LEAN and other CI techniques)

            

KPI Data Coordination & Analysis

  • Focal point within the Asset for the collation, preliminary analysis and reporting of the Asset Performance Indicators as approved by the Asset Director to predetermined deadlines.
  • Formalising agreement on the annual KPI and reporting formats and appropriate frequency of reporting for each Performance metrics.
  • Establishing and maintaining a suitable reporting mechanism/tool driving the provision of inputs from other entities in the Asset, analysing and formatting this information, as required.
  • Conducting preliminary analysis and investigation of any deviations or improvement in the Performance Indicators, highlighting and recording where appropriate any corrective actions.
  • Presenting KPIs to encourage a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Liaising with the Corporate Functions and other Assets to ensure that the data being captured is consistent with the rest of the subsidiary and aligned where necessary for consolidation purposes.
  • Monitoring and ensuring visibility of the level of service between the Corporate, Shared Services and the Asset, including benchmarking and follow up of performance corrective actions.
  • Gathering and executing regular reporting as required for Partners, Group etc.
  • Preparing and reporting for the Asset LEAN and 3C process reviews, discussing with the process owners the progress against the plan and improvements realised.
  • Developing and helping to drive a change of culture and proactively seek improvements within the KPI and performance area.

             

Wider PFG Team Support

  • Supporting the CNS PFG Manager in co-ordination of regular asset meetings including Monthly Asset Performance (“MAP”) Meeting, Performance Management Monthly Review (“PMMR”), N-3 meeting, Village Halls and other ad-hoc meetings on request (i.e., Asset Review).
  • Coordinating and preparing regular reporting as required for Partners, Group etc. For example, monthly partner report to JV.
  • Raising requisitions as required within the SAP UNISOL system including following up approvals to ensure timely submission of orders to vendors.
  • Acting as a focal point of the companies Perfect Day Incentive process, this includes co-ordination of submissions from external vendors as well as following up internally to ensure approval and release orders have been raised.
  • Where requested support the Asset with day-to-day contract management activities.
  • Coordinating and analysing activities in support of the CNS Asset PFG Team as required.

            

            

 

Skills and Experience

         

  • Experienced PowerBI contributor.
  • Synergi experience would be beneficial.
  • The job holder should be educated to degree level or similar and/or demonstrate significant ability through experience and proven achievements in this field.
  • The job holder should be self-motivated with the ability to coordinate and influence.
  • General understanding of the technical operations within the oil & gas industry
  • Demonstrably strong analytical skills
  • Confident communicator, collaborator with the ability to influence.
