A well-established and growing organisation operating across the marine, offshore energy sectors and renewables sectors is looking to appoint a Management Accountant/ Finance Business Partner.

   

Headquartered in Aberdeen and operating across multiple Scottish locations, the business provides critical, 24/7 support services to clients across high-impact industries.

You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders, turning financial insight into operational action and supporting strategic decision-making.

            

The Opportunity

As Finance Business Partner, you’ll work closely with the operations of the business—bringing finance and strategy together. Reporting to the Finance Director and working closely with the Group Financial Controller, your role will involve preparing and analysing key financial reports, identifying risks and opportunities, and helping shape business performance across multiple sites.

              

This is a hands-on, high-visibility role where strong communication, analytical thinking, and commercial awareness are key.

             

Key Responsibilities

  • Acting as a trusted advisor to operational teams, translating financial data into meaningful business insight.
  • Preparing monthly management accounts for your portfolio and ensure accurate reporting on work in progress and completed jobs.
  • Leading budgeting and forecasting processes in collaboration with business units.
  • Tracking and analysing KPIs, identifying areas for improvement and supporting performance delivery.
  • Assisting with the evaluation of strategic initiatives, investments, and bids.
  • Monitoring financial risks and support mitigation strategies.
  • Taking a proactive role in reviewing processes and driving continuous improvement.
  • Supporting the statutory accounts process and liaise with external stakeholders including auditors and tax advisors when required.

              

What We’re Looking For

  • Qualified, part-qualified or qualified by experience.
  • Proven experience as a Finance Business Partner, Management Accountant or similar role.
  • Excellent Excel and financial modelling skills.
  • Strong understanding of UK GAAP (or IFRS) and financial controls.
  • Commercially minded, confident in building relationships across finance and non-finance teams.
  • Experience of ERP or finance systems, with the ability to learn and adapt to new tools.
