The Role

You will take ownership of the end-to-end management of stock and financial records, including:

• Recording stock purchases and usage, reconciling with the general ledger, and ensuring accuracy of job-related entries.
• Preparing first-stage management accounts and monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
• Monitoring monthly P&L and balance sheet actuals versus budget.
• Completing month-end activities efficiently across all areas including bank, cash, sales and purchase ledgers, stock, fixed assets, and P&L.
• Submitting VAT returns and maintaining customer and supplier master data in Sage.
• Providing timely reporting for cash flow, sales orders, and backlog, supporting operational decision-making.

What We’re Looking For

• Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure.
• Experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in Sage 1, with advanced Excel skills.
• Self-starter with the ability to prioritise workload, adapt to changing demands, and a flexible approach to responsibilities.
• A collaborative mindset and a good sense of humour.
