We are looking to recruit a Materials & Inventory Manager on a permanent staff basis to join a global energy company.

   

The Material & Inventory Manager is responsible for ensuring that effective material and inventory management processes are in place that support efficient end to end operations and ensuring that inventory (onshore & offshore) is utilised and ultimately reduced.

     

Main duties and responsibilities

  • Effectively leading and managing the team in line with business requirements ensuring an efficient service delivery to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Managing all company owned inventory and associated activities, including, but not limited to – identifying, recording, coding, procurement, storage, preservation, stock-checking and ultimate control and optimisation of all company owned assets’ inventory.
  • Supporting the Material Controllers, ensuring they follow approved processes and procedures for inventory utilisation and material tracking.
  • Technical Contract Owner of the warehouse services contract ensuring high contractor performance in HSE and Operational KPIs.
  • Focal point for inventory utilisation – ensuring inventory levels are appropriate for asset / division and identifying synergies across assets through a portfolio approach.
  • Responsible for regular and on-going inventory disposal processes in line with company procedures.
  • Responsible for regular stock checks at operated and third-party sites ensuring high count accuracy.

      

Applicants to this role require

  • Significant experience of SCM operations in the oil and gas industry preferably with an operator or tier 1 contractor.
  • Significant experience of materials management in the UKCS experience of leading Materials Management Teams and the coaching and development of team personnel.
  • Good experience in materials management, inventory management and warehousing operations.
  • Extensive experience with ERP / EAMS systems (specifically SAP and Maximo) and other associated SCM systems and their application, support, development and reporting capabilities.
