Join an award-winning oil and gas subsea company on a 6 month contract basis as an Occupation Health Coordinator based onshore in Westhill, Aberdeen.

     

Reporting to the HR Manager of Offshore Resources, as the Occupational Health Coordinator, you will have the following main duties and responsibilities:

  • Developing and fostering a positive HSEQ culture throughout the business.
  • Participating in the review and updates of the company health manual.
  • Supporting the delivery of a new medical system for the global fleet.
  • Responsible for the medical standards of the global fleet.
  • Developing the health initiative section of the annual HR plan for the business.
  • Responsible for the efficient, timely, accurate and cost-effective management and delivery of the function’s health activities within the fleet.
  • Creating and maintaining job descriptions, competence and familiarisation for the offshore medics.
  • Ensuring the implementation of and adherence to the company’s Management System, professional tools, policies, systems and processes.
  • Ensuring compliance with GDPR and medical confidentiality requirements.
  • Supporting and co-ordinating with the Global Medical Team health initiatives, as appropriate.
  • Responsible for the medical standards of the global fleet.
  • Liaise with both internal and external insurance providers.
  • Acting as the technical authority for the offshore medic recruitment and selection.
  • Responsible for health monitoring and audit protocols for the fleet.
  • Responsible for the offshore hospital policies including procedures and offshore medical stores.
  • Developing a constructive and professional relationship with global stakeholders to promote consistency of processes and procedures.

           

Professional Qualifications/Experience

Essential

  • Occupational health background or HSE background with a focus on heath.
  • Experience in an office environment.
  • Computer skills with interest in digitalisation.

         

Preferred

  • Demonstrable knowledge of related offshore medical guidelines.
