Offshore Lead Production Technician / CRO - VR/24859
TMM Recruitment is assisting our client to look for an Offshore Lead Production Technician/CRO on a permanent/staff basis. The rotation is 2 weeks on/ 3 weeks off, mobilising out of Norwich. It is essential to have operator experience, strong Control Room experience and ideally someone that has covered the Supervisor role from time to time. Senior Production Techs/CRO’s will be considered.
Overview
Participating as part of an integrated Operations Team, you will be responsible for the safe, timely and quality execution of all production and utility operations activities, to ensure process throughput is optimised, equipment operated within design parameter envelope, accommodation support systems are sustained and business objectives are achieved.
Main duties and responsibilities
- Control Room Operator.
- The Lead Production Technician has a working charge-hand role and will actively engage in the prescribed activities required of a Production Technician.
- Leading a team of Production Technicians to safely and efficiently operate the production process and utility systems.
- Installation focal point for Production Issues, providing guidance to the Installation Management Team, and liaising with onshore Discipline Engineers.
- Coordinating with and supporting facility maintenance and modification works.
- Ensuring compliance with the Integrated Management System; request deviation waivers in accordance with Management of Change process.
- Managing designated installation areas as directed by the Production Supervisor.
Assigned Roles
- Permit to Work Issuing Authority.
- Isolation Authority, ensuring all process isolations, lock-open-lock-closed lock-out-tag-out and interlocks follow applicable procedures and meet isolation standards.
- Area Operator for complex works execution, especially SIMOPS.
- Member of Normally Unmanned Installation Intervention Team, as required.
- Control of Works, Emergency Response and supplemental roles, as assigned.
- Deputising as Production Supervisor, as required.
Qualifications / Certification and Training
- Appropriate Vocational Qualification or Certification in Production Process Operations / Control Room Operations.
- Offshore Survival (BOSIET/FOET).
- Offshore Medical.
- MIST.
- MME (Managing Major Emergency for Control Room Operators).
- Small Bore Tubing.
Experience & Skills
- At least 8 years’ previous industrial experience in the oil and gas industry working as a Production Technician, with a minimum of 3 years in a senior, team leading role, and a minimum of 2 years as a Control Room Operator on a Gas Processing Facility.
- Experience, and competent with the operation and preventative maintenance of the following systems;
- Gas and Condensate Process;
- Process Control (shut-down, start-up, isolation, upset response, fire & gas, ESD);
- Wellheads and production xmas-trees;
- Water-oil-condensate-gas separation systems;
- Acid gas removal;
- Produced gas dehydration;
- Gas turbines (compression and power drivers);
- Gas compressors (centrifugal and screw and lobe);
- Pumps (centrifugal, screw and lobe and positive displacement);
- Flare and vent systems;
- Pig launching / receiving;
- Chemical treatment systems;
- Laboratory testing of gas, condensate, water and inorganic content;
- Utility systems; and
- experience working with safe systems and Control of Work (PtW) as Area Authority / Authorised Isolator.
- Proven ability to lead and manage small teams, and supervise quality work execution.
