Currently recruiting for an experienced Onshore/Offshore Lifting Inspector on a permanent basis for our client in Aberdeen. Prior experience in a similar role is essential. All applicants must possess LEEA certification and must also be ASNT Level II qualified in MPI and DPI. This role involves offshore work, so having valid offshore certificates will be an advantage.

Main Purpose of Role:

This role will test and examine general lifting equipment at customer sites onshore and offshore.

Main Tasks, Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Test and examine general lifting equipment in line with HSE guidelines and regulations.
  • Engage proactively with all HSE initiatives and requirements within the business.
  • Proof load testing.
  • Visual examination.
  • Magnetic Particle Inspection.
  • Liquid Penetrant Inspection.
  • Carry out SI 2307 examination of lifting equipment and drilling hoisting and handling tools.
  • Work collaboratively with all other business functions to ensure the completion of work orders.
  • Undertake tasks and projects as agreed that are in line with job delivery requirements.
  • The job holder may be required to carry out any other related or associated roles, tasks or duties, which they can be trained, instructed and supervised to do safely and according to changing business requirements.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required:

  • Team player and customer focused.
  • Self-motivated.
  • Ability to go the extra mile when needed.
  • Mechanical aptitude and previous experience in a similar role is required.
  • ASNT Level II required in Magnetic Particle Inspection/Liquid Penetrant Inspection.
  • Knowledge and understanding of LOLER Regulations and LEEA Guidelines.
  • Must be able to deal with customer personnel politely and in professional manner.
