Operations Supervisor - VR/29886
Operations Supervisor is required for a global provider of solutions to the oil, gas, and energy industries. This is a permanent position with a 9-day fortnight work pattern based in Westhill.
As Operations Supervisor, you will effectively manage, allocate work and prioritise daily workload for the Operations Teams.
Duties and Responsibilities include:
- Overseeing the Warehouse to safely deliver the provision of warehousing services to encompass incoming goods, storage, stock control, assembly, and dispatch service to customers both internal and external in a timely and accurate manner.
- Ensuring all policies are adhered to and required documentation is correctly recorded/stored.
- Training and mentoring new employees.
- Identifying and advising on training requirements and development for personnel.
- Providing various reports, as and when required by management for revenue forecasting.
- Reviewing with the team potential missed commitment dates and revenue delays – providing updates to management.
- Communicating order progress and various order updates to management.
- Ensuring date maintenance is reviewed and updated regularly.
- Purchasing for business requirements.
- Processing and managing intercompany orders.
- Expediting and reviewing of open order reports.
- Ensuring the response to customer enquiries for product information, availability, order status and pricing is given in a timely manner.
- Ensuring follow up and close out of outstanding quotes with customers.
- Regularly reviewing relevant QHSE procedures/processes/risk assessments/COSHH assessments, work instructions in order to ensure they reflect present working practices.
- Quality assurance of equipment including Inspection of each component part to align with quality standards and preparation/recording of certification packages as required.
- Ensuring that all operational transactions are tracked and executed in a timely manner.
- Date alignment and management, goods in and goods out.
- Ensuring deliveries are made to meet customer requirements.
- Ensuring timely and accurate processing of Warehouse activities.
- Ensuring all freight movement is carried out in accordance with regulations.
Requirements:
- Proficient in use of Microsoft packages.
- Understanding of deadline achievements.
- Team player.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Customer focus.
- Report writing skills.
- Purchasing and expediting experience.
- Supervisory experience.
- Proficient in the use of Navision (desirable).
