Payroll Support - VR/31388

Status: Temp/Contract
Location: Peterhead, Aberdeenshire
Rate: Dependant on Experience

An opportunity has arisen to join a growing team in a Payroll Support capacity on a temporary ongoing basis. This role will see you support the existing payroll team in preparing the company payroll. To succeed in this role, you should have some previous experience within a payroll function.

   

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Supporting the processing of payroll, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Maintaining and updating payroll records with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Assisting with checking timesheets, pay information and staff data.
  • Ensuring compliance with statutory requirements such as tax and deductions.
  • Responding to payroll queries in a professional and timely manner.
  • Providing support with reporting and reconciliations where required.
  • Working closely with colleagues to meet payroll deadlines.
  • Inputting and maintaining data in payroll and ERP systems.
  • Using Microsoft packages to support payroll administration.
  • Contributing to process improvements within the payroll function.

        

About You

  • Previous experience working in payroll (any level of experience considered).
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good understanding of payroll processes, tax and deductions.
  • Confident using Microsoft Office and able to learn new systems quickly.
  • Excellent communication and time management skills.
