TMM Recruitment is supporting a global leader in the delivery of offshore projects and services to the energy industry to find a PLM Specialist on a permanent basis. The company utilises Siemens Teamcenter as the backbone for digital project delivery so experience with this technology is essential.
Overview
The company utilises Siemens Teamcenter as the backbone for digital project delivery. The company has an extensive infrastructure which requires direct support and configuration. An opportunity exists to come and join the specialist PLM Team, reporting in via the Senior PLM Implementation Specialist who currently manages the extensive server estate. The role is to provide a primary point of contact for the end-user community of Teamcenter and directly support the upgrade, patching, configuration, installation, and general support of the platforms.
Main duties and responsibilities
- Experience and a core understanding of multi-server builds in a 4-Tier configuration featuring Active Workspace running on a SQL database is essential.
- Teamcenter implementation experience (deployment, installation, configuration and / or customisation)
- Teamcenter infrastructure, Teamcenter application support, strong technical knowledge in areas such as Cloud and Virtualisation.
- Teamcenter Deployment Centre experience would be highly desirable but not essential
- Experience in PLM business capabilities and integration architectures would be advantageous.
- Experience with Apache Tomcat, SSL and use of SSO solutions would be advantageous.
- Experience with TCAA and TCAI Multi-CAD integrations would be beneficial.
- Working closely with third party support providers and software vendors to deliver robust and 'fit for purpose' solutions, manage incidents and co-ordinate upgrades.
- Assisting with testing of all configuration changes made to applications and the supporting IT infrastructure. This includes Azure and other cloud technology platforms.
- Assisting in implementation of new modules and versions, including associated deployment tests.
- Proposing and implementing improvements of tools and process standardisation to increase efficiency.
- Participating in system audits and managing regular system monitoring.
- Promoting global standardised processes within the company.

Internal – Other IT colleagues across the full range of disciplines; Business users and key functional stakeholders.
Skills and Experience
- Professional qualifications – Candidate should be degree qualified in Engineering or IT, or have equivalent work experience.
- Strong experience as a system implementor.
- An understanding of the underlying IT infrastructure required to support and enable effective use of Teamcenter.
- Experience in creation and maintenance of documentation, e.g. functional designs, technical / development specification, configuration rationale, test cases, job aids / training documentation.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Excellent communication and training skills.
- Good organisational skills and smart working methods.
- Presents self in a professional manner and works well under pressure.
