The post holder will be responsible for managing and delivering engineering support, sustaining and rapid response for all product lines.  The successful candidate will be required to drive elements of project management, liaise with customers on technical requirements and interface with the supply chain structure to ensure product delivery and quality. 

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the Product Line (Rapid Response) Supervisor will have the following main duties and responsibilities:

• Working with external and internal customers to prioritise workload and deliver solutions on time.
• Ensuring technical support tickets are completed on time and within budget.
• Overseeing the integration of quality control elements and technical capabilities of the vendor database.
• Capturing IP as designs and developing concepts.
• Providing QHSE leadership and ensuring culture of continuous improvement.

Experience / Qualifications:

• A bachelor’s degree qualification in an engineering / technical discipline is essential.
• A master’s degree qualification in Mechanical Engineering would be preferred.
• Previous experience in a similar role, within the downhole sector of the oil and gas industry, is essential.
• A proven track record of developing new and existing products is essential.
• Product life cycle, milestone and stagegate experience is essential.
• Previous experience in a design or project engineering type role, within the oil and gas industry, is essential.
• Experience with downhole oilfield technologies is essential.
• Applicants should understand the importance of design reviews and documentation for testing and reviews.
• Applicants should have an understanding of supply chain and quality control elements within the manufacturing process.
