Project Accountant opportunity with a leading international energy services company.

    

Main duties and responsibilities

  • Providing visibility on Contract Financial Performance including the preparation of monthly management accounts.
  • Assisting with the identification and management of contract variations.
  • Submitting annual rates uplifts.
  • Assisting in re-negotiation of revised contract terms.
  • Carrying out audits and review as necessary, to assist with the identification and implementation of potential commercial improvements.
  • Assisting in preparation and resolving claims to ensure suitable controls are in place in support of financial deliverables.
  • Ensuring compliance with company policies, processes and procedures related to the management of commercial aspects.
  • Studying and familiarising oneself with relevant Contract Commercial Terms and Conditions and monitor to ensure compliance with these.
  • Supporting operations teams in the execution of contracts related to financial and overall performance against agreed budgets and preparation of reports in accordance with company procedures.
  • Collating contract budgeting/forecasting information and check on integrity of information provided to ensure dependability of information provided.
  • Assisting Project Manager in the development of appropriate processes/systems to cater for client specific requirements with regards to detailed cost breakdowns.
  • Assisting Business Delivery Managers in the preparation of monthly cost / value reports and to conduct subsequent analysis, review and feedback.
  • Interfacing with Business Managers, Invoicing, Accounts, Procurement, Tendering.
  • Interfacing with Procurement Team on any project specific aspects that fall out with Master Supplier/Sub-Contract Agreements.
  • Collating all relevant start-up information for jobs/phases.
  • Reviewing and controlling minor estimates or CTRs within existing contracts.
  • Assisting preparation of valuations on Fixed Price jobs.
  • Monitoring and providing feedback relative to KPI performance and highlight areas where improvement is necessary to optimise financial return.
  • Providing detailed analysis of completed projects to highlight areas of learning.
  • Reviewing all invoices for completeness and correctness prior to submission to client.
  • Attending client forecasting, cost reporting or contract review meetings.

             

Applicants to this role require

  • Proven track record in a similar role.
  •  Experience in fast paced work environment.
  • Possess a finance degree or be working towards a recognised accounting qualification or have suitable relevant experience working in a similar Commercial or Financial role.
