Project Engineer - VR/29667
Project Engineer needed for a permanent staff role in Dyce for a growing Oil and Gas Drilling Waste Management company.
Reporting to the Project Manager, as the Project Engineer, you will have the following main duties and responsibilities:
Identify:
- Liaising and assisting internally with the technical and commercial preparation of tenders and proposals.
- Attending upfront sales meetings with potential clients to offer technical assistance.
Qualify and Solve:
- Coordinating visits to rigs, sites and installations globally as required for survey purposes.
- Liaising with rig/installation personnel regarding the utilities required for company equipment on board.
- Measuring and evaluating existing rig equipment as necessary.
- Making sketches and collating information as required.
- Developing survey report for a Drilling Waste Management Solution.
- Reviewing and approving all drawings produced by the Product Development Team.
Prepare:
- Preparing project costing sheet.
- Developing project mobilisation and installation plans in conjunction with Global Projects and Asset Manager.
- Holding kick off and regular project update meetings internally and externally.
- Preparing installation workpack and brief installation crews prior to mobilising.
Mobilise:
- Demonstrating and promoting adherence to company HSEQ guiding principles.
- Coordinating the installation phase of projects to ensure successful installation within project parameters and to customer satisfaction.
- Supervising installations at site with overall responsibility for the installation phase and handover to operations.
Close/Demobilisation:
- Completing post job brief, lessons learned and handover to Local Operations Team.
- Ensure NAVISON is up to date and all aspects closed.
- Develop demobilisation plan and workpack for Operations Team to execute.
- Reviewing and closing AFEs.
New Build Asset/Major Overhaul Projects:
- Pro-actively managing and coordinating all project activities for new build assets or major overhauls where assigned.
- Pro-actively arranging meetings to evaluate and report project progress against plan.
- Identifying and monitoring any potential project risks/delays/issues
- Identifying and implementing solutions to mitigate against potential risks/delays/issues to the delivery of new build assets.
- Ensuring identified document requirements are progressed throughout project and completed on time.
- Ensuring that the inspection and test plan is rigorously adhered to.
Key Experience/Qualifications:
- Degree/HNC/HND Level or equivalent in Technical or HSEQ discipline.
- Competent with Microsoft Project
- Background and experience in a project engineering/management role within the oil and gas sector.
- Leading a team of technicians/experts.
- Ability to read and understand relevant legislation/regulations.
- Knowledge of mechanical and electrical equipment certification requirements for the oil and gas sector.
- Competent in reading and understanding engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of temporary mobile equipment.
- Ability to record data utilising Microsoft Word and Excel.
- DNV 2.7-1 knowledge.
- ATEX and CE knowledge.
