Currently recruiting for an experienced Project Manager - Modifications on a contract basis for aa leading energy operator based in Aberdeen. It is an initial 12-month contract and the company is only considering PAYE contractors for this particular role. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly capable project professional to take ownership of a portfolio of complex capital and asset modification projects, driving safe, efficient, and technically robust delivery across the business.

  

As the Projects and Modifications Manager, you’ll oversee a diverse portfolio of projects from initiation through to completion, ensuring compliance with governance and technical standards. You’ll provide leadership across EPC, asset modification, and decommissioning scopes — working closely with internal stakeholders, regulators, and Tier 1 contractors.

       

You’ll play a pivotal role in shaping programme execution strategy, delivering CAPEX and OPEX projects safely, on schedule, and within budget.

             

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading and managing a portfolio of engineering, modification, and decommissioning projects.
  • Developing and guiding multidisciplinary project teams to deliver agreed business outcomes.
  • Overseeing project framing, planning, scheduling, budgeting, and risk management.
  • Managing contracts and procurement activities in line with company policy.
  • Providing technical leadership in EPC and front-end project development.
  • Ensuring robust governance, communication, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Driving a culture of performance, safety, and continuous improvement.

           

About You

You’ll be an experienced project professional with a proven record managing large, complex offshore energy projects, ideally in the decommissioning or modifications space. You’ll combine strong technical expertise with commercial acumen and excellent communication skills.

              

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Degree qualified in Marine, Subsea, or a relevant engineering discipline.
  • Significant experience leading major offshore decommissioning or modification projects.
  • Strong understanding of EPC, supply chain management, and cost control principles.
  • Proven ability to lead teams and influence internal/external stakeholders.
  • Offshore BOISET certification.
