Currently recruiting for an experienced QA/QC Advisor on a permanent staff basis for a Subsea Contractor based in Westhill, Aberdeenshire.

    

The QA/QC Advisor will have the following main duties and responsibilities:

  • Providing QA/QC support to the Projects, Tendering and the SHEQ Department in all aspects of the QA/QC and fabrication processes.
  • Establishing, developing and maintaining project, tender and customer specific Quality Plans when required.
  • Interfacing with project suppliers including supplier document reviews.
  • Managing and controlling inspections involving the following tools; Request for Inspection (RFI), Inspection Cost Time Resource (CTR), Inspection and Test Plan (ITP), Notification of Inspection (NOI), BSS QA/QC Site Visit Report and Inspection Release Note (IRN). This activity includes the review and approval of third party inspection reports and liaising with Supplier, third party inspection agency, third party inspectors, independent verification body (IVB) and client.
  • Managing and controlling inspection of client free issue items.
  • Carrying out internal and supplier audits, as assigned.
  • Assisting in the supplier approval process.
  • Raising Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and opportunities for improvement in line with service delivery or as a result of audit.

    

Experience / Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a similar QA/QC Advisor type role within the oil and gas industry is essential.
  • Previous subsea sector experience would be preferred.
  • Experience of Quality Management in EPIC projects and have experience of working with Certifying Authorities.
  • Knowledge and experience of fabrication practices and processes.
  • Experience of equipment inspection and release including review of MRBs.
  • Applicants will be expected to have an engineering background or working knowledge of engineering practices.
  • A relevant auditing qualification would be preferred.
