QHSE Administrator - VR/31802

An established research-led organisation is seeking an experienced QHSE Administrator to join their team on a temporary PAYE basis for an initial 3-6 month period, with the potential for extension. The organisation undertakes scientific research, environmental monitoring and sustainability-focused projects, supporting a wide range of industry and government partners. This role is ideal for a detail-driven administrator with previous experience supporting QHSE functions and who thrives in a busy, varied working environment.

  

Main Responsibilities

  • Acting as the first point of contact for QHSE department enquiries.
  • Managing the QHSE email inbox and online service desk.
  • Supporting the development and rollout of QHSE campaigns, alerts and guidance.
  • Assisting with the ongoing review and revision of QHSE policies and procedures.
  • Managing document and record storage systems.
  • Collating monitoring data for performance reports and committee meetings.
  • Facilitating departmental meetings, including agenda preparation and minute-taking.
  • Coordinating internal and external audit schedules, file reports and input corrective actions.
  • Raising purchase orders and liaise with external service providers.
  • Coordinating internal and external QHSE training.
  • Conducting QHSE inductions for new starters.
  • Supporting real-time emergency response activities.
  • Contributing to maintaining ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 compliance.
  • Supporting processes to ensure ongoing legal compliance.
  • Carrying out additional duties as required by the QHSE Manager and Advisors.

      

Requirements

Essential:

  • Experience in an administrative role within or supporting a QHSE Department.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and SharePoint.
  • Administrative qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Educated to Higher Grade level or equivalent.

            

Desirable:

  • HSQE-related qualification.
  • Full UK driving licence.

          

Contract Details

  • Contract: 3–6-month temporary PAYE role, with possibility of extension.
  • Hours: 35 hours per week.
  • Location: Aberdeen (Craigiebuckler) or Dundee (Invergowrie) office – fully in person.
