As the QHSE & ESG Manager, you will have the following main duties and responsibilities:

  • Developing and delivering to a HSEQ plan to promote a positive and proactive safety culture.
  • Working closely with Technical Teams to ensure the correct QHSE standards are set, maintained and managed as we rapidly grow production.
  • Developing, controlling and maintaining an effective reporting system throughout the entire company, including safety observation system, monthly QHSE stats, and presenting key information to management.
  • Coordinating and leading monthly QHSE meetings and other management meetings as required.
  • Overall responsibility for relevant ISO certifications, CDM certification and relevant QHSE certification.
  • Overall responsibility for ESG statistic gathering and reporting. This will include Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions calculations and reporting.
  • Responsible for ensuring the optimum safety culture is embedded as the company grows.
  • Reviewing, developing and implementing company risk assessments.
  • Undertaking site inspections and audits (internal and external) for HSE improvement and audit purposes.

               

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • NEBOSH diploma qualification.
  • Positive philosophy, with a solutions focussed, “can-do” attitude.
  • Self-starter with the ability and desire to build a high-performing health, safety and environment function.
  • Ability to effectively manage and prioritise own workload and the workloads of others.
  • Proven HSEQ leadership abilities in a growing company.
  • Extensive management and leadership experience in a health, safety and environmental-focussed role.
  • Experience in a utility or public body HSE department desirable.
  • Proven track-record of developing high-quality and business-specific QHSE policy and procedure.
  • Experience providing health, safety and environmental leadership within rapidly growing companies, ideally on both a domestic and global scale.
