Are you passionate about driving safety and compliance across global operations? A unique opportunity has arisen for an experienced QHSE professional to join a world-leading specialist fluids business based in Aberdeen. This is a full-time permanent staff position, working a 35-hour week with the opportunity for hybrid working and flexibility in hours.

    

About the Role

As QHSE Lead, you will provide critical technical expertise across all aspects of quality, health, safety, and environmental management. Working closely with department and Site Managers, you will play a key role in developing, implementing, and monitoring QHSE policies and programs, ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.

        

Your remit will include:

  • Promoting a safety-first culture across all operational processes.
  • Monitoring regulatory developments and advising on compliance strategies.
  • Maintaining strong relationships with regulatory bodies.
  • Leading on ESOS reporting, SDS authoring, and REACH compliance.
  • Supporting carbon emissions tracking and CDP reporting.
  • Overseeing waste legislation adherence and chemical regulatory frameworks globally.
  • Ensuring awareness and understanding of offshore and international QHSE requirements.

        

What We're Looking For

  • You’ll be an enthusiastic and proactive professional with excellent communication and IT skills. A strong work ethic and willingness to learn are essential. The ideal candidate will also bring:
  • Experience in a QHSE role within a similar industry.
  • In-depth understanding of carbon emissions, REACH, and chemical regulatory compliance.
  • Experience with SDS authoring (global scope).
  • Awareness of OSPARS and offshore chemical notifications.
  • Knowledge of toxicology and exposure assessments.
  • Familiarity with Norwegian QHSE legislation is a plus.
  • CDP reporting experience (desirable).

          

Qualifications

  • Formal QHSE qualification.
  • Lead Auditor certification in at least one ISO standard.
  • Sound understanding of ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 (ISO 27001 desirable).

        

Location

The role is based at the company’s office in Aberdeen, with occasional travel to a branch office in Norway.
