Reliability Engineer (Maintenance) - VR/27366
Currently recruiting for an experienced Reliability Engineer (Maintenance) on a contract basis for an E&P Company based in central Aberdeen. It is an initial 12-month contract position that will be reviewed on an annual basis, so it will be a long-term opportunity. The company are only considering PAYE contractors for this particular role.
The Reliability Engineer will provide front line maintenance support for UK assets. The successful candidate will ensure the timely and quality execution of all maintenance reliability works and associated activities to ensure plant uptime, equipment availability, reliability and business objectives are achieved. The post holder will provide multi-discipline support to the Maintenance and Operations department and will coordinate key maintenance availability / reliability activities.
Reporting to the Maintenance Advisor, the Reliability Engineer (Maintenance) will have the following main duties and responsibilities:
- Liaising with Discipline Engineers and operations teams to resolve technical queries in a timely manner.
- Inputting into the MOC and TQ processes to ensure availability / reliability improvements are enacted.
- Developing and maintaining availability / reliability dashboard to trend critical equipment performance.
- Working with key vendors and Maintenance Department in implementing availability / reliability data improvements.
- Responsible for CBM vendors and trending.
- Analysing field condition data and correlating test results to optimise field performance.
- Looking for improvement in PdM and set a plan in place for implementation.
- Analysing and maintaining equipment reliability data trends for optimisation of maintenance equipment strategies improvements.
- Leading RCA reviews.
- Conducting bad actor reviews and look for equipment improvements and implement within the CMMS (Maximo).
- Developing specific budgets to support reliability improvement.
- Contributing to the development of plant / equipment monitoring tools and strategies. Proactively monitoring, reviewing and analysing plant and equipment performance and providing feedback to Line Management.
- Identifying obsolescence problems, as well as opportunities to maximise production and performance and share best practice.
- Managing threats and opportunities process implementation and ownership (MTO).
- Setting in place and managing the Operational Reliability Improvement Process.
- Owning and managing the asset RAM model.
- Undertaking equipment criticality review and updates.
Experience / Qualifications:
- A Degree qualification in Mechanical Engineering would be preferred.
- Previous experience in a similar role, within the North Sea oil and gas industry, is essential.
- Previous experience in a similar role, directly with an E&P company / operator, would be preferred.
- Previous experience with operations and maintenance activities within the oil and gas / Petrochemical sectors is essential.
- Applicants should have experience with availability / reliability tools and methods.
- Applicants should have extensive knowledge on the range of offshore process and utility equipment on oil and gas processing facilities.
- CMMS experience is essential (Maximo experience would be preferred).
