Currently recruiting for an experienced Reservoir Engineer on a contract basis for an Oil and Gas Operator based in Westhill, Aberdeenshire. The contract will initially last until the end of November 2021, however, it’s a core position that is eligible for annual renewal, therefore it should be a long-term opportunity.

   

The company is only considering PAYE contractors for this particular role, and all applicants must be fully eligible to work in the UK.

   

Reporting to the Geoscience Manager, the Reservoir Engineer will have the following main duties and responsibilities:

   

  • Performing analysis of field and well production behaviour, incorporating G&G understanding of the field in order to define the reservoir management strategy and to propose production optimising operations.
  • Performing reservoir monitoring tasks in order to provide accurate forecasts. Issuing monthly production guidelines (well potential derived from decline curve analysis).
  • Performing subsea network optimisation tasks using an Integrated Asset Model. Sharing findings with Subsurface and Development Team.
  • Presenting evaluations at Partner meetings and HQ peer reviews, as well as to UK authorities.
  • Attending weekly meetings with Field Operations and monthly meetings with Allocation Team.

   

Experience / Qualifications:

   

  • An Honours Degree qualification in Reservoir or Petroleum Engineering is essential. An MSc Degree qualification would be preferred.
  • Previous experience in a similar role, within the Oil and Gas industry, is essential.
  • Previous experience of reservoir monitoring activities for gas fields is essential.
  • Experience with the Integrated Asset Model (IAM), in terms of QC and optimisation of network using Prosper / GAP / Resolve, is essential.
  • Intersect (IX) software knowledge and / or experience in Wet Gas Subsea Network IAM would be desirable.
  • Applicants will be expected to possess an understanding of production allocation uncertainties and flow assurance issues in multiphasic production environments.
  • Applicants will be expected to be fully autonomous with reservoir engineering techniques, such as numerical simulation, well test interpretation (Saphir software), material balance and PVT analysis.
