The ROV Hydraulic / Tooling Technician will work within a small and dedicated team responsible for supporting workshop activities to ensure the correct and timely application of planned maintenance and repairs to ROV systems, tooling, and ancillary equipment, while contributing towards continuous improvements to the ROV systems, tooling, and workshop facilities.

     

Key duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Performing ROV operations as instructed and in accordance with approved procedures, HSEQ policy, and objectives.
  • Completing system and project paperwork (e.g., inventory, weekly ROV / safety reports, dive logs, video logs etc.) under the direction of the Workshop Supervisor and Project Team.
  • Carrying out ROV systems, LARS, and tooling onshore maintenance in compliance with onshore schedules.
  • Assisting Project and Technical Teams with the integration, fitting, and testing of ROV tooling.
  • Overseeing testing programs for tooling and hydraulic projects.
  • Maintaining, refurbishing, and preparing ROV tooling fleet.
  • Assisting offshore crew with technical support, where required.
  • Ensuring all workshop hydraulic equipment if fully serviceable, secure, and kept in good condition.
  • Ensuring planned maintenance records are updated accordingly.
  • Stocktaking and inventory control of ROV system spares and consumables.
  • Supporting and offering guidance to workshop apprentices and trainees, as required.
  • Maintaining good housekeeping practices in all areas of workshop and yard.

       

Qualifications / Experience Required:

  • Preferably qualified in an engineering discipline
  • Time-served and industrial trained in either mechanical or hydraulic background
  • Candidates should possess the ability to understand detailed engineered drawings including hydraulic and basic electrical schematics
  • Experience working with Work Class ROV systems and Subsea Tooling
  • Knowledge of electronics is advantageous but not essential
  • Environmental training general awareness
  • Safety training general awareness.
