Overview

The company are embarking on a SAP S4 Transformation programme which involves replacing the current ECC solution with SAP S4 Hana together with the associated business process changes across Finance, SCM and Asset Management. The transformation will be a multi-year programme following a Greenfield, Fit to Standard approach.

The strategic aim is to deliver a globally standard set of processes and associated data through the modern S4 application leading to improved efficiency and operation of the business and providing valuable business insights from increased visualisation, analytics and automation. The company will engage a Service Integrator (SI) and Change Management organisation to work with our IT and Business teams to design, build, test and deploy this business transformation programme.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Engaging and managing the SI partner data team to successfully deliver the planned data services, tracking all deliverables to timescale and required quality.
• Validating data migration strategy and approach.
• Management of data migration plans.
• Developing plan and manage data cleansing activities to required quality and timescale.
• Leading a team of Data Analysts ensuring work scope and priorities are clear.
• Effective engagement of business stakeholders to support all data cleansing and data migration activities to realise a successful outcome.
• Owning, managing and reporting on risks and issues across the data workstream to ensure the programme successfully delivers expected outcomes and benefits.
• Ensuring effective quality assurance across the data workstream.
• Supporting data design workshops.

Skills and Experience

• Experience in managing SAP data migration projects through the full lifecycle - design, build, test, deploy and hypercare.
• S4 Hana data migration experience advantageous.
• Experienced in defining data migration strategy and approach.
• Strong knowledge of SAP data model and data migration methodologies.
• Demonstrate good knowledge of SAP data migration technologies.
• Experience in data defect management processes.
• Working knowledge in the functional areas of Finance, SCM and Asset Management.
• Experience in managing data cleansing projects for ERP deployments.
• Experience of working with and managing an SI partner.
• Strong business influencing skills.
• Strong communications skills both verbally and written.
• Pro-active, self-driven, forward looking, collaborative, good analytical and problem-solving skill.
• Good communication and negotiation skills and can interface across a spectrum of stakeholders.
• Knowledge of project management methods, such as PRINCE2 and PMP.
