TMM Recruitment are supporting a global leader in the delivery of offshore projects and services to the energy industry to find an SAP S4 PMO Lead on a contract basis based in Westhill but with hybrid working also available. The successful candidate will ensure the effective implementation of the programme management strategy, delivery and governance processes both internally and across the processes and deliverables.
Overview
The company are embarking on an SAP S4 Transformation programme which involves replacing the current ECC solution with SAP S4 Hana together with the associated business process changes across Finance, SCM and Asset Management. The transformation will be a multi-year programme following a Greenfield, Fit to Standard approach.
The strategic aim is to deliver a globally standard set of processes and associated data through the modern S4 application leading to improved efficiency and operation of the business and providing valuable business insights from increased visualisation, analytics, and automation.
The company will engage a Service Integrator (SI) and Change Management organisation to work with our IT and Business teams to design, build, test and deploy this business transformation programme.
The SAP S4 PMO Lead role will ensure the effective implementation of the programme management strategy, delivery, and governance processes both internally and across the processes and deliveries of the SI.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Establishing the governance framework and standards for the programme.
- Monitoring programme reporting and assisting team in reporting to Senior Management and stakeholders.
- Providing and maintaining capacity planning and resource tracking service across the programme.
- Updating and maintaining the risk log, action log, decisions log, and issue register.
- Ensuring cross-programme dependencies are monitored and dependency log is accurately maintained.
- Defining and embedding project control and governance.
- Leading and guiding project stage gate reviews.
- Providing project planning, milestone management, scope management, resource forecasting.
- Preparing regular status reporting for the engagement leadership.
- Maintaining and ensuring the team are regularly updating the programme value tracker.
- Assisting with the financial management and tracking for the programme.
- Ensuring the SI PMO Team are delivering their obligations and deliverables as defined and agreed in the contract.
Skills and Experience
- Proven track record for planning, implementing, and controlling programmes of work with minimal supervision.
- Experience of maintaining the complete lifecycle of a programme.
- Strong skills in creating and maintaining project and programme plans, including risks, actions, issues, dependencies.
- Efficient in resource planning and tasks assignment.
- Experience of project management using AGILE or PRINCE2 methodology (or equivalent) for medium to large sized projects.
- Experience of working in a programme where a large part of the delivery is provided by an SI partner.
- Highly proficient IT skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and project.
- Line management or team leader experience.
- Diplomatic ability to influence others at all levels of the business.
- Pro-active, self-driven and collaborative.
- Good communication and negotiation skills and can interface across a spectrum of stakeholders.
- Knowledge of project management methods, such as PRINCE2 and PMP.
Advantageous Skills and Experience:
- SAP S4 Hana full project lifecycle implementation experience.
