Currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Analysis Engineer on a permanent staff basis for an oil and gas service company based in Cove, Aberdeen. Hybrid working opportunities will be available - the post holder will be able to work remotely up to 2 days per week.

         

Reporting to the Principal Engineer, the Senior Analysis Engineer will have the following main duties and responsibilities:

  • Analysing connectors and associated equipment by FEA or hand calculations where appropriate.
  • Fatigue life assessments.
  • Completing results and reports following design calculations/analysis in a timely manner.
  • Actively progressing and managing assigned tasks from concept to completion.
  • Where appropriate, reporting progress to clients along with documentation of work.
  • Assisting with preparation of quotations for clients.
  • Monitoring time and costs throughout the duration of each assigned task.
  • Checking and approving drawings, documents, reports, and calculations to ensure they meet the required standards.
  • Designing and developing connector product line.
  • Actively taking part in design reviews.
  • Providing technical product support to sales.
  • Providing guidance, direction, and supervision to engineering staff.

             

Experience / Qualifications:

  • A degree qualification in Mechanical Engineering, or a similar discipline, is essential.
  • Previous experience in a similar role, directly within the North Sea oil and gas industry, is essential.
  • Finite Element Analysis (FEA) experience is essential.
  • Experience with pressure vessel codes is essential.
  • Mechanical component design experience is essential.
  • Fatigue analysis and fracture mechanics experience is essential.
