Senior Contracts Specialist - VR/30887
Join a global energy company committed to shaping the future of energy - balancing oil and gas with growing investments in renewables and low carbon solutions. This contract role, initially until 31/12/2025, offers the chance to play a key role in the commercial management of strategic contracts that support safe, efficient operations across UK upstream and low carbon assets.
As part of the Procurement and Supplier Relations Team, you’ll support the effective delivery of complex scopes through robust procurement strategies, supplier engagement, and contract execution. You’ll collaborate with global sourcing teams and local stakeholders, helping to ensure commercial value, regulatory compliance, and safe, sustainable operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Shaping, delivering, and maximising the value of existing and future operations contracts within upstream and low carbon solutions.
- Leading and contributing to cross-functional teams to develop procurement strategies, both locally and as part of global sourcing initiatives.
- Preparing and issuing enquiries, managing bid evaluations, leading negotiations, and preparing award recommendations.
- Conducting demand and market analysis to inform sourcing decisions.
- Ensuring compliance with internal supply chain management processes, with a focus on Integrity Due Diligence, Human Rights, Safety and Commercial Risk.
- Managing contracts from award through to close-out, with a focus on minimising value leakage and promoting safety.
- Building and maintaining strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
About You:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant discipline.
- Strong background in the creation and management of strategic contracts in the UK.
- Experience with scopes including Maintenance and Modifications, Specialist Engineering, and Production Chemicals.
- Awareness of the UK supplier market and a focus on promoting local content.
- Comfortable working independently and within multidisciplinary teams across the organisation.
- Skilled in stakeholder engagement and relationship building.
- Commercially and strategically minded with strong negotiation skills.
- High level of personal integrity and ethical awareness.
