Hours: 9-day fortnight (one day off in each 2-week period) 37.5 hours one week and 30 hours the following
Our client is looking for a Software Test Engineer to join their expanding team responsible for the design, development, and support of their range of desktop applications. Their software suite is used through a sequence of recording and logging, storage, editing, and visualisation. The data that is handled includes video and sensor data from a variety of sources.
Over time the client’s software has progressed using C#, .Net, various SDKs, graphics, and video tools. We are looking for people with the skills and enthusiasm to help our client continue and accelerate this progress.
The role is unique and challenging, creating a fantastic opportunity for a software tester to push themselves, advance their career and become a core member of a motivated team. You will communicate and work closely with the software team to ensure the high standards of deliverables. Our client is looking for someone to take control of the testing procedures and drive the testing process from a manual process to one that incorporates more automated testing.
Responsibilities
- Taking ownership for design, implementation, and execution of manual and automated testing strategies and plans.
- Troubleshooting, analysing, documenting and reporting test results to the team.
- Continuously looking to improve testing processes and tools.
- Ability to write software tests in C#. Scripting language knowledge would also be very useful.
- A good understanding of automation, continuous integration and DevOps principles and practices.
