Reporting into the operations function, the Stores Person will be responsible for the coordination, control and documentation of materials, ensuring all items are received, stored, preserved and dispatched in line with company procedures and quality standards.

The position combines hands-on stores duties with administrative responsibilities and requires close liaison with internal departments and external transport providers.

Overview job description:

• Carrying out day-to-day stores operations, ensuring full traceability of all materials and equipment.
• Receiving, checking and verifying materials against accompanying documentation.
• Packing, preserving and preparing items for despatch in line with project and quality requirements.
• Coordinating material movements and liaise with internal stakeholders and transport representatives.
• Processing all stores-related paperwork accurately and in accordance with company procedures.
• Monitoring stock movements and maintain accurate stock level records.
• Advising relevant teams on stock availability and requirements.
• Operating a forklift truck when required (certification preferred but not essential).

Applicants to this role require:

• Previous experience in a stores, warehouse or materials control role.
• Full drivers licence.
• Strong administrative skills with high attention to detail.
• Experience working within engineering, industrial or project-based environments.
• Ability to maintain accurate records and follow defined procedures.
• Good communication skills and ability to liaise across departments.
• Proactive, organised and reliable approach to work.
• Valid forklift licence (training can be provided if required).
