A leading energy service provider are looking for a Systems Developer to join their team on a permanent basis. If you have experience with .NET Web API (C#), Angular/Typescript and Azure ecosystems including DevOps and CI/CD, get in touch!

    

Reporting into the Development & Data Integration Manager, the successful candidate will provide the development of various solutions that are in line with the Business needs and the IT strategy.

     

The person filling the role is expected to assume responsibility for a range of activities including requirements understanding, application design, solution build, testing and support.

     

All personnel are expected to contribute to creating a positive HSEQ culture and ensure familiarity with and adherence to local HSEQ codes and practices.

      

Main duties and responsibilities

  • Promoting global standardised processes within the company.
  • Identifying opportunities to gain efficiencies from using the IT solutions in smarter ways.
  • Solution development based on experience and understanding of a range of technologies.
  • User support and guidance throughout solution development phases and post go-live support.
  • Managing oversight of third-party development teams and quality assurance of their products.
  • Managing and co-ordinating testing of new solutions and changes to existing solutions.
  • Proactively engaging to understand future technology trends and define their relevance and potential to the company.

      

Applicants to this role require

  • Strong knowledge of .NET Web API (C#).
  • Strong knowledge of Angular / TypeScript.
  • Knowledge of Azure ecosystem, including DevOps and CI/CD.
  • Advanced experience with database design, using ORM such as EntityFramework, and writing complex SQL statements.
  • Ability to work with git repos and follow branching strategies.
  • Experience with application testing (unit, integration and load) is advantageous.
  • Experience with Playwright tool is advantageous.
  • Ability to learn quickly and assimilate new technologies and concepts.
  • Ability to work within a global dynamic support and development team.
  • Ability to identify, analyse and solve problems in a logical and effective way, including root cause analysis and actions to solve the problem.
  • Knowledge of working with an agile approach to software development is expected.
  • Change management awareness and adherence is key to success in the role.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Works well under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and training skills.
  • Good organisational skills and smart working methods.
