Opportunity for professional advancement awaits an Assistant Accountant at a prominent global oil service organisation located just south of Aberdeen city. This position is ideal for either a partially qualified candidate or someone embarking on their professional studies. The role promises sustained development within a dynamic finance department, ensuring long-term growth prospects.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, your role will encompass:

Reconciliation and group reporting of intercompany accounts.
Assisting with the monthly closing for group reporting by providing analysis and supporting schedules.
Maintaining inventory adjustments in the ERP and support with the quarterly stock and mobile fixed assets counts.
Maintaining the fixed asset registers and subledger in the ERP.
Preparing balance sheet reconciliations and follow up on any issues as they arise and resolving issues in a timely manner.
Supporting the Accountant in the preparation of the UK and overseas VAT returns for all entities.
Purchase invoices; including follow up of discrepancies.
Supplier payment related queries.
Maintaining posting of bank transactions.
Supporting with audits both internal and external

Applicants to this role require

1-5 years experience working at Assistant Accountant level having started or looking to embark upon their professional studies OR an experienced Senior Accounts Assistant looking to step up.
